We visited with Makita to use the Newest Makita Tools and once again Makita tools PROVE the JAPANESE are BETTER at INNOVATION!
We ran the MAKITA 18V LXT SUB-COMPACT BRUSHLESS STARLOCKMAX MULTI-TOOL (XMT04ZB) and are surprised by its power to vibration ratio. we got our hands on the new MAKITA 80V MAX XGT 14-INCH POWER CUTTER (GEC01), and get all the specification, and availability of the new Makita LXT Cooler/Warmer Box (DCW180). No other tool brand is currently producing these tools with this type of battery technology proving that the Japanese are better at tool innovation!
Makita had been my favorite brand of power tools for three decades. I had always assumed they were a Japanese company buy about ten years ago a friend told me they are an American company. After reading your article I looked it up and it was more difficult to find than I thought. Makita USA’s website doesn’t even hint at it being a Japanese brand. In fact, if you look around their website it seems like they are trying to hide this fact. Looking further than the Makita USA website I was able to find out that, indeed, Makita is a Japanese brand. The makita.biz website says “In 1958, Makita Corporation, which was founded in 1915 as an electric motor sales and repair company, became the first company in Japan to manufacture and sell electric planers”. I find it interesting Makita would try and hide the fact that they are a Japanese brand. I think American consumers think of Japanese brands as being synonyms with quality.
