Learn more about us and our company

General Contracting Company

VCG Construction is a general contracting company. Every renovation, from kitchen install to window replacement, and everything in between, is executed with the utmost professionalism.

VCG’s unique combination of craftsmanship with a knack for design will create spaces in your home that are relevant and timeless. Every renovation uses the best materials available and are expertly installed to last a lifetime, leaving you with a home that not only has form and function, but also fashionable flair.

WHY CHOOSE US

Creative Gorgeous Design

Avoid Remodelling Remorse by Brainstorming with Us
Any room you remodel should be a work of art that makes you feel happy whenever you set foot in it. Your friends and family should immediately say, “Wow!” (and possibly turn green with envy.) The intricate details of your rooms should each have a story that will be a joy for you to tell and for them to share. You don’t want to complete your remodel and feel the disappointment of, “I wish I had done that.”

When you work with us, you’ll have instant access to hundreds of creative design ideas and our expert designers who specialize in luxury home remodeling. Whether you are on the Main Line, Center City Philadelphia, or the New Jersey Shore, We are the general contracting company that will help you fall in love with your home for the second time.

Specific, Accurate Budget

Avoid Bait and Switch Budgets
You’ve heard the horror stories. Half way into a remodel, the general contracting company “finds something” that will increase the project cost by 40%. After weeks of time and thousands of dollars, the poor homeowner is now held hostage to a contractor that failed to create an accurate bid – or possibly intentionally bid low to get the job with the intent of “finding” a problem later. That’s wrong.

Most general contracting companies give a rough estimate with a few lines of detail. We spend dozens of hours creating an extremely detailed Bid Proposal so you don’t experience any surprises. In fact, as you’ll discover in the “Guarantees” section below, we promise that the final project cost will be within 10% of your budget.

Highest Quality Materials

Beware Quality Cutting Shortcuts that Can Cost You More
Do you prefer Gourmet Cuisine or McDonalds? Ingredients matter and when it comes to the remodeling of your home, using anything but high quality materials can be a disaster and an embarrassment. The pieces of our gorgeous home renovations – especially kitchen redesigns – are intricately connected. If one fails over time or doesn’t fit, days or weeks of work may need to be redone. Moreover, the plethora of home decoration television shows means that your family, friends, and neighbors know quality materials from cabinets to countertops to fixtures so the cheap Home Depot brand won’t do for you.

Like Michelin trained chefs, we’re the general contracting company that only uses the highest quality materials and brands in our projects. We have a special relationship with suppliers of brands like Medallian, Kraftsmaid, and Anderson Windows. They’ll tip us off on everything from special batches of granite or stones with intricate patterns and special discounts on the hottest fixtures. Don’t you deserve the best?

Meticulous Craftsmanship

There are few things worse than spending hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars only to feel like the remodeling work in your home has flaws. Crooked tile lines. Countertops slightly offset. Cabinet doors that don’t close with precision. And by then it’s too late to redo the work. You are stuck with it and if it’s a big error, possibly haunted by it and the fact that other people will notice.

Craftsmanship. That’s not usually a word associated with a “general contracting company,” But, we approach our work as “artists” rather than “mechanics.” Not only is this a reason we don’t say things like, “Well, we won’t know until we get into it,” but it’s the reason that everything we do from architectural redesigns of entire homes to the tiniest drop of painting is completed with pinpoint accuracy. You know what “meticulous craftsmanship” looks like. Let us make sure your home is remodeled to your standard of perfection.

Guarantees

There are few guarantees in life and most of those made by businesses come with mind numbing paragraphs of small print written to undercut the guarantee. General contracting companies  are notorious for bid and material bait and switch tactics and things like showing up late, not supervising subcontractors, and even hiring drug addicts. They may work hard to get money for their next “fix” but do you really want them in your home?

We guarantee the following: Rittenhouse Square Condo General Contracting Company

  1. Brainstorming dozens of creative ideas with your final say on every detail of your project.
  2.  Final cost at or UNDER the hard bid.
  3. Highest quality materials at the best price possible.
  4. Meticulous work reviewed daily for quality control.
  5. Hire only employees and subcontractors who can communicate clearly.
  6. Exceed your expectation of a general contracting company.

    Hi Vincent,
I enjoy your tool reviews on Youtube & I have a question that could possibly lead to a new review for you. I couldn’t see how to contact you via your Youtube videos.
I am a Dewalt & Ryobi owner and I will someday be purchasing a cordless sds dewalt multi drill, but I also have a need for a cordless impact wrench… My question is this, do they make an adapter that will allow me to use my sds hammer drill as an impact wrench & save a few hundred dollars by not having to purchase a dewalt impact wrench?

    Thanks for your time

    Hi Vince,
A fellow contractor here albeit I’m in the I T service and support field. Thank you for being a positive leader by example in your vids. Safety glasses and gloves are paramount in the work you do, also I like that you avoid using foul language in your vids.
One mature guy to another may I say this I get the shaped beard, it’s a cool factor thing for you I guess, however the gray hairs do not do you your awesome looks any favors. You should discretely color your beard so the gray is not so predominate, respectfully. The grays age you more than I sure your true age is. Hey VCG, I found you on YouTube. I’ve laughed a lot, and learned a lot! Please help a power tool “newbie”. My project is repairing my wood privacy fence. The fence is 8 ft. tall, has 23 poles, and 115 pole brackets. This translates into nearly 700 lag bolts! I need your professional advice on which Milwaukee power tool I should choose for this task. There are so many Milwaukee Models to consider. I don’t know how/which to choose. I subscribed to the channel, watched your VIDs and I think I need an M18 Impact driver. I have a few Dewalt tools, but I have learned that Milwaukee tools are better. I want the best one. But what model is the best one? Since this is Labor Day week, I was hoping to pick up a new tool from International Tools (?), or watch for special sale at my local HD store. I’m an old guy and Army Veteran and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!

Hi, my name is William. Let me start off by saying we have been under construction SEP 2018. In 2018 we had a big storm with came through our roof. and also in OCT 2019. In turn we filed insurance as do many, well that was the start of our dilemma. Working with insurance local contractors who i have to say all work together and “talk”. Now everyone knows about the Clark house, so everyone wants there hands in it, I have no clue why. As you can tell im trying to make this short. So here it is my family is living in our car, insurance no paying for hotel after only 2 months, the contractors went out of business and pulled there workers and here we are house 50% somewhat done and whats left of the money the insurance did not give us. (code upgrades) they said…….I wish i had Very Cool Guys doing my house.

Not looking for a remodel but thought you may find this deal interesting at Home Depot.com they are selling the M12 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless 3/8 in. Crown Stapler with 4.0 Ah M12 Battery for 179.00 but the sale of the day is for a M12 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless 3/8 in. Crown Stapler Kit with One 4.0 Ah Battery, Not sure the deal is worth putting out there but its still a free bag and they basically give you 20 bucks.

I Reached out to Dewalt but I wanted to let you know case you find it interesting also. I’ve got the Dewalt tablesaw with the rolling stand and then I also have the Dewalt folding workbench. I was ripping plywood on it by myself and I use the folding workbench table to help make it easier & safer! However the folding workbench table is actually 6 inches lower than the actual tablesaw I figured it would be great if they both were at the same height!!! Maybe it’s just me but dewalt could come out with a new 2.0 folding work bench table that sat up a little bit higher. Any thoughts on this issue? Thanks for your time!!!

Why doesn’t Milwaukee make a cordless crimp tool for Pex Pinch clamps? They make cordless tools for the other two types of Pex termination. I can not get an answer from Milwaukee. Sure wish they would make this tool. Thanks.

How can I send you a picture (snapshot) I took from a recent DeWalt email I received? It was to promote the new 12v Xtreme circular saw. On the side it shows other 12v line tools Ive never seen for the Xtreme line. Wondering if you guys can get any info from DeWalt. It shows a multi-tool and what seems like different attachments for an installation tool like other brands have made. Unless you get the same emails take a closer look at the picture that has the saw on the left and other 12v tools towards the right.
